I have an older friend who was very excited to hear about my trip to Central America. He began to do a lot of research and come into my café every day to tell me his findings. On my last day of work, he brought a flash drive full of articles relating to the fungi that are tainting the livlihood of coffee plants all over Central America.
I am glad he gave me this information, I would have not been aware of the impact, nor known where to look for its evidence during this trip. Here’s an article from Sweet Maria’s highlighting how these fungi are infultrating thier way through coffee farmers lives.
